“Europe’s only goal is to prevent US President Trump from achieving peace through negotiations.” – Putin

“But the curse of every ancient civilization was that its men in the end became unable to fight. Materialism, luxury, safety, even sometimes an almost modern sentimentality, weakened the fibre of each civilized race in turn; each became in the end a nation of pacifists, and then each was trodden under foot by some ruder people that had kept that virile fighting power the lack of which makes all other virtues useless and sometimes even harmful.” - Teddy Roosevelt

Geopolitical Chess
From Floridians who love America - Harold Buhrandt: Hindsight reveals Trump’s Masterstroke: How the Iran Shock, Budapest Convergence, and Molecule Crisis Ended the Forever-War Cycle:
• The new Axis of Hungry Pakistan and The United States
• Trump controls the chessboard checkmate coming
• Russia’s and China can only hope for a stalemate
• Europe As We Know it begs for scraps
• The Ukraine War is a sub-plot nobody is connecting
• The real weapons the U.S. used to bring about change came from the ground not the sky
• This is not a true cease fire it’s a pause for what’s to come
• Trump holds all the cards-what comes next.
• Truce Already Broken, or was it?
First let me state this was thrown together in a blender and spit out to paint the situation in the broadest of strokes. Overnight several things have happened that changes everything you heard before you went to bed.

Most notably the cease fire wasn’t a true cease fire. Israel and Iran’s proxies intensified their attacks on one another significantly with hundreds of missile attacks from both. The way this news cycle is playing out what we heard ten minutes ago does not apply as I type this.
Explosions just hit Iran’s Lavan oil refinery and Sirri Island. Iranian state media described it as an attack by enemies. It is now confirmed that the UAE Air Force has conducted a large-scale operation targeting Iran’s oil and petrochemical plants in the Persian Gulf region.
They have bombed refineries on the islands of Siri and Lavan and targeted multiple other petrochemical facilities using not only Wing Loong 2 armed drones, but also Mirage 2000-9 EAD fighter jets. Operations are ongoing, with reports that Emirati aircraft have also flown over southern Iran. The cause is officially unclear. The timing is not.
The ceasefire is less than 24 hours old. Both sides have now violated it.
On the Iranian side, IRGC provincial commands launched missiles at Israel, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar within thirty minutes of the announcement. The UAE’s national emergency authority issued a live alert today confirming air defense systems are responding to an active missile threat. Kuwait absorbed the heaviest strikes of the entire war. Cluster munitions from Iranian ballistic missiles hit Beersheba, injuring two teenagers. Iran’s own Council stated the ceasefire does not signify the termination of the war.
On the other side, explosions struck Lavan and Sirri. These are not random targets. During the Iran-Iraq War, when Kharg Island was damaged, Iran shifted its oil exports to Lavan and Sirri as backup terminals. The US struck military targets on Kharg on March 13 and again on April 7, deliberately sparing the oil infrastructure.
With the UAE air strikes everything changes. Sirri and Lavan are the contingency nodes in Iran’s export chain. If they are damaged, the redundancy that kept Iranian oil flowing after Kharg is degraded. UAE understood the architecture of Iran’s export network and targeted the failover, not the primary.
The above bullet points still matter and here is what they mean:
Looking back from today, it is clear that what unfolded in Budapest with JD Vance standing beside Viktor Orbán was not two separate diplomatic threads — one on Ukraine, one on Iran — but a single, integrated masterstroke of geopolitical strategy.
American media largely missed it or refused to connect the dots, because they viewed events through the old lens of previous administrations. Those administrations often treated conflicts as opportunities to sustain the military-industrial complex rather than to deliver genuine, lasting peace.
Trump’s approach broke that cycle. It used calculated pressure across domains — military, energy, diplomacy — to force real negotiations and structural change.
In Budapest, Vance confirmed U.S. strikes on Kharg Island, Iran’s key oil export hub. Then, mid-press conference, he checked a fresh text from Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy for Iran talks. He stated plainly that the war would end very shortly and that the United States still had tools left in its toolkit.
At the same time, he praised Trump and Orbán as the two leaders who had done the most to end the Ukraine war. He proposed Budapest itself as the venue for a leaders’ summit, highlighted Orbán’s unique understanding of what both Ukrainians and Russians actually need for peace, and pushed back against EU bureaucrats interfering in Hungary’s upcoming elections.
These were not disconnected moments. Orbán is the only NATO leader with a documented direct channel to Putin, and he aligns with Trump’s transactional style. Budapest became the hinge point where two conflicts converged through one powerful lever: energy.
The U.S. strikes and the broader pressure on Iran triggered what the International Energy Agency called the largest energy supply disruption in history. Gulf energy flows were disrupted on a massive scale, removing a key source from global markets. This single shock structurally undermined Russia’s primary leverage over Europe — its energy dependency.
Europe, long reliant on Russian gas, now faces a molecule crisis that forces rapid, permanent diversification into non-Russian, non-Gulf alternatives. No policy paper or endless summit could have achieved this restructuring so effectively. The necessity created by the disruption is compelling Europe to build infrastructure it will not willingly undo.
In hindsight, the Iran conflict became the forcing function that made a serious Ukraine deal possible. As long as Russia held the European gas card, Putin had little incentive to negotiate in good faith. With Hormuz under pressure and Gulf petrochemical capacity damaged for years, Russia’s position weakens week by week. Europe’s scramble for alternatives accelerates. The two wars were always linked by energy, leverage, and quiet diplomacy.
Vance went to Budapest precisely because it is the only European capital where you can manage the endgame of both conflicts through the same energy mechanism. Orbán can talk to Putin. Orbán can talk to Trump. Orbán can host the summit.
The Iran pressure supplied the shock that is redrawing the global energy map and eroding Russia’s hand. The Witkoff text Vance read onstage was the clearest signal: back-channel talks with Iran were active and live. The 8 PM deadline mattered.
Whether Iran conceded or faced further escalation, the outcome improved conditions for Ukraine peace — either by easing pressure in a way that still advanced talks or by deepening the crisis that weakened Russia further.
As soon as the United States struck Kharg Island, the board shifted. China, Iran, and Russia blinked. The media still treats the stories as separate, but they were never separate. They were connected by energy chokepoints, leverage, and the convergence in Budapest.
The ceasefire that followed, announced by Trump after a last-minute intervention, further reveals the layered brilliance. Many headlines credited China as the peacemaker urging Tehran to show flexibility. But reading it through what actually happened shows a different architecture.
The ceasefire preserved China’s shadow energy infrastructure — ghost fleet tankers shipping Iranian crude to Shandong teapot refineries, settled in yuan via CIPS — while the war itself destroyed much of Iran’s petrochemical capacity.
The U.S. achieved its military objectives: degrading Iran’s weapons-chemistry infrastructure (reported at 85 percent destruction), dismantling air defenses, and striking key sites. The ceasefire reopened Hormuz under controlled terms without undoing those gains or fully restoring Iran’s capabilities.
Trump credited Pakistani mediation explicitly — Prime Minister Sharif and Field Marshal Munir — while saying little about Beijing. This was strategic. It kept the frame that America drove the outcome, using trusted intermediaries, without handing China equal billing. The two-week pause allows Hormuz to reopen for traffic, with U.S. naval support for safe passage.
Yet terms include coordination with Iranian forces, and reports confirm vessels already paying tolls, some in yuan through intermediaries. The U.S. Navy is now positioned to ensure smooth traffic through a chokepoint where a yuan-denominated toll structure has emerged — a development Deutsche Bank had already called the inception of the petroyuan.
At the bilateral level, the campaign succeeded: Iran is at the table, Hormuz is reopening, and tools remain available. At the systemic level, a new layer of yuan settlement is embedding itself under an American security umbrella. The Gulf states are alarmed by the precedent of fees on what was a free international waterway. But the molecules keep flowing — energy, petrochemicals — while reconstruction in Iran will take years regardless.
Looking ahead, the real power in Trump’s toolkit is not additional weapons but dates and leverage points that connect multiple tables. April 10 brings talks in Islamabad, where JD Vance is expected to lead direct U.S. engagement with Iranian negotiators.
The U.S. arrives with demonstrated military facts on the ground. Iran arrives with its own accomplished resilience under a decentralized “Mosaic Defense” structure — 31 independent provincial commands with pre-delegated authority, designed precisely for scenarios where central leadership is degraded or incapacitated.
Reports of the new supreme leader Mojtaba’s condition highlight this fragmentation: political agreements in Tehran do not automatically bind autonomous field units. This architecture makes full enforcement structurally challenging, as seen in continued operations even around ceasefire announcements. Israel recognized this immediately and continued targeted actions.
Then comes April 19: the U.S. Treasury waiver on 140 million barrels of Iranian crude at sea expires. Renewing it preserves flows to Chinese refineries. Letting it lapse applies direct pressure on China’s energy security and the parallel financial architecture built during the crisis — no missiles required.
By mid-May, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent heads to Beijing for a summit originally about tariffs and rare earths. The Iran war rewrote the agenda. China holds 95 percent of heavy rare earth processing, a critical chokepoint for advanced manufacturing. The molecule crisis ties everything: petrochemical molecules destroyed in Iran, energy molecules via ghost fleets, rare earth molecules in China.
Trump is the only leader positioned to apply pressure across all three simultaneously — Islamabad on Iran with military realities, the waiver on China with sanctions facts, and Beijing on global architecture with its own leverage.
These three negotiations in the next five weeks are one sequence. The molecule crisis is the connective tissue. If Islamabad yields a lasting framework, it stabilizes energy flows. The waiver decision shapes China’s urgency in Beijing. The outcome will decide whether this becomes a foundational shift toward lasting peace or another cycle. Iran’s 10-point demands include sanctions relief, toll arrangements, and more; Trump called them workable but not sufficient. Closing that gap matters.
The decentralized Mosaic Defense ensures the crisis has structural duration — whether through prolonged reconstruction or fragmented enforcement — regardless of what any single council signs. Yet this same reality underscores why Trump’s approach succeeds where others fed endless conflict.
By forcing diversification in Europe, degrading capabilities in Iran, preserving targeted leverage over China, and routing diplomacy through nodes like Budapest and Islamabad, the strategy breaks the old forever-war incentives.
What the American media failed to report — and still largely refuses to admit — is that this was three-dimensional chess designed to end cycles of dependency and perpetual tension, not perpetuate them. The military-industrial complex thrived on the old model.
Trump’s moves prioritize real peace through strength, leverage, and structural realignment. In hindsight, the strikes on Kharg Island, the energy shock, the Budapest convergence, and the linked negotiations were never separate stories. They were the integrated architecture for ending two wars and reshaping global energy and power dynamics for the better.
As mentioned this is not a ceasefire. It is a breathing interval between rounds of a conflict that neither side can end and neither side can win. The United States can destroy Iran’s above-ground infrastructure but cannot reach the centrifuges beneath Fordow.
Iran can close Hormuz and fire at Gulf states but cannot feed its own population or stabilize its currency. The ceasefire does not resolve this structural deadlock. It pauses it. And the pause is already fracturing from both ends simultaneously.
What I knew one hour ago when I began this post has shifted somewhat but the strategy continues and all still hinges on the upcoming summits. It’s now been confirmed the cease fire never included Iran’s proxy wars in Lebanon and other areas of the Middle East.
The coming days and weeks will test and redefine everything. But the shift is already underway, and terrestrial news outlets cannot explain it.
The real question the media needs to ask is: Who is President Trump negotiating with in Iran to bring about peace.
While, many wonder who Trump is negotiating with in Iran. The follow-up question should be; who in the intelligence agencies and military industrial complex within the United States government is negotiating against the president‘s interest to continue the forever wars.

Joshua Hall: Former Vice President Mike Pence is reportedly orchestrating a "RINO coup" of Never Trump establishment Republicans who are on a mission to do a hostile take back of the Republican Party from President Trump and the MAGA movement.
They are said to be funding opposition research on Trump-backed MAGA candidates in the midterms, financially backing their primary opponents and even strategically placing Trump haters in disguise as supporters of the President in key positions within the Trump administration in order to sabotage and undermine the President.
Pam Bondi and Susie Wiles are two confirmed RINO infiltrators who were placed in their positions by Pence and his ilk. "[Islam] isn’t a religion of peace. It's actually the opposite. It's a religion of war!" – Rudy Giuliani
Amuse: The goal of Islamists is to eliminate Christianity here in America. You will convert or you will die.
Glenn Beck revealed he has documents showing a deliberate plan by Muslims to takeover America, noting that New York City mosques grew from 84 in 2001 to over 400 today, yet Muslims still block streets and public parks for prayers.
He said the Muslim Brotherhood took over many mosques, exploiting America’s charitable nature, and that Americans were asked for help while a clear plan to expand influence was being laid out, fully documented in the materials he possesses.
Glenn Beck: The Washington Post wrote an article called, “Muslims Shouldn’t Have to Assimilate to Belong.” It states that Muslims might be more resistant to assimilation due to their commitment to Sharia Law. Let me make this clear: Sharia Law and the United States cannot stand side by side. If you are tolerating something that treats women, minorities, and gay people the way Sharia Law does, then you are doing more damage to our nation than you realize.
