The program is in its first full day and 12,000 'workers' have applied. Presumably many of the applicants are daycare executives who are being 'stalked' by conservative journalists (that is literally one of the approved reasons to take 20 weeks off).
Minnesota's new Paid Family Medical Leave program offers up to 20 weeks off work with a maximum payout of $28,460 per year. Workers can qualify for another 20 weeks annually, creating a rolling benefit with no lifetime cap.
More than 12,000 applications were filed on the program's first full day. State rules allow illegal aliens to receive benefits just like real citizens.
